First Base Tapes is back with our second compilation, showcasing many of our favorite bands from Boulder and Denver. Thanks to all of our friends and those involved in the process of putting this tape together, we love you ;)

diy venues have been shut down across the country. we lost rhinoceropolis and juice church–you’ve probably lost a few yourself. for unsigned bands, these spaces offered limitless creativity. now everything’s different.

its harder than ever for local acts to gain traction. we wanted to do something for the people around us. Friends With Benefits is the newest compilation record from First Base Tapes, featuring 20 bands from our friends in the denver/boulder diy scene.

we know what you’ve been receiving from promoters. we all work at KVCU and love college radio. we’re also sick of that commercial indie rock bullshit. give your ears a break via first base tapes.
